RE: cheap generators

I can't understand why anyone would pay relatively high prices for a Kipor, that is louder than a Honda or Yamaha and has no extensive dealer network behind them.
The reason I bought the Kipor unit was the dealer service. I have 2 dealers close to me and one that offer unmatched customer service. I only paid $1200.00 for a brand new unit last year vs almost $2,000.00 for a Honda.

RE: cheap generators

Kipor 3000 It is RV rated and was only $800.00 on sale. If you are in a spot with out a hook up the noise is not bad. I can sit on my generator and hold a normal level conversation. A little noise is better than a hot camper.
You better be careful the Honda Guys are hating on us Kipor guys today.

RE: Boon Docking

You can also hookup the plug to your tow vehichle and charge your batts. also
This would work for emergency charging. Just make sure you have the appropriate wiring and fuses so you are getting power to your battery.

Hey Guys,
I know this sounds like a dumb question but is the drain plumbing the same in an RV as in a home. I am needing to purchase some plumbing parts and I am not at my TT so I can’t look. Thanks for your help.

Well I guess our family does it a little different we go down on Friday and stay until Sunday morning. We run the generator for air and all other necessities. I have a Kipor 3500 super quite generator and it handles all of our needs.

TT Battery Charging System

Hey Guys,
On our TT we have a converter and I am assuming that is what changes our power to DC and charges the battery. On most TT is there a fuse or a breaker you can shut off so that it will not charge the battery? The reason I ask this question is when my AC starts up and my converter is running it will make my generator surge up to high for the econ mode. If I am not using the correct wording please correct me. Thanks

RE: F150 super crew hitch

If they can drop 3000lbs from a helicopter and drive away you should be able to haul that 5th wheel.

RE: Direct TV From the house?

We just take one of our receivers from home and you are ready to watch TV. The first time you try to find the sat you will probably get made and quite but it does get easier the more times you do it.

RE: Upgrade Nightmare

I believe if it was me I would make sure the title is still in my name and continue to make payments. The customer that bought your old camper from the dealer will push them for a clean title then you will have some bargaining power with the dealer. I would think they could meet you have way on the $1500.00 since the mistake is not all your fault.

RE: New TT help

We have a 2007 Summerland 2657BH and we love it. I have not had to take it to the shop even once and we use ours on a regular basis. The only thing is they are an entry level TT so I don't know how they will hold up for 15 years. We bought ours with the idea of keeping it a year or two and then trading up. But like I said we are pleased with ours.

RE: Homemade Rack Placed On The Back Of TT

Beware rack with genset is fairly heavy. It will have noticeable effects on your tongue weight. I had to reload my rig to create proper balance. To counteract the additional weight on the rear.
I have a Kipor IG3000 generator that has a dry weight of 123Lbs plus a few other things I would like to haul. I just want to have somewhere secure to haul and leave my generator when tailgating overnight. Did you build the box for your generator or did you buy it somewhere?
